Ketamine sessions are done as a series of 6-10 over 2-6 weeks, depending on your response. Most commonly, it is 2-3 sessions each week over 2-3 weeks for a total of 6 sessions to start. The average appointment length is 1.5-2 hours long. Your exact appointment type, length, and cost can be found under your appointment confirmation sent via email. Please review this prior to your session.
The route with the most research and the highest amount of bioavailable ketamine (what your body can absorb and use) is through an IV infusion. This route is the only route that allows for dose adjustment, pausing, stopping, or deepening of sessions, as well as ideal control of the onset and offset of your experience. It is also the only route allowing for nausea and blood pressure management.
You may not be a candidate for IM (shots) if you have certain health conditions.
Average Success Rates:
Many people experience some relief around their 4th infusion or injection, with some people requiring a couple weeks after completion of their course. Relief is an individual response that varies on the severity of symptoms and lifestyle. Ketamine lasts anywhere from 1-4 months (on average) after a completed series.
Most people maintain their results with a monthly ketamine session. We do provide self-screening options so you can decide how often to return. These screeners are free to you; if you’d like to see where you are, feel free to take them! These assess depression, anxiety, trauma, and suicide risk. After 6-10 sessions, most people see a 25-50% drop in depression and anxiety screeners and a 15-point drop in trauma symptoms.
We offer financing through www.advancecarecard.com. This takes around a week to process and is a physical card that Advance Care mails to you.
